Walk with the animals of Sub-Saharan Africa on an African safari and tour African art villages.  Go overland in west Africa and travel with a purpose.  Each Highlight below will lead you to a new page with photos, videos and information from past Ghana Tours.

Day 1-5 African Art and Culture

Accra - Visit the fishing village of Jamestown and Makola market
Teshie Nungua - The Ghana Coffins are a unique form of African Art
Ghana Beads - Visit Agomanya bead market and Cedi's bead factory to see this African Art made
Lake Volta - Tropical paradise and canoe trip with local fishermen
Kente Cloth - A peace Corps project where sustainable tourism meets African Art
Techiman - Transit town on our journey north for a truly off-the-beaten-path experience
Baobeng-Fiema Monkey Sanctuary - Another Peace Corps project get up close to Mona and Colobus Monkeys

Day 6-9 Visit our water projects 

Bolgatanga- The capital of the Upper East region where our clean water projects are located.  Visit small rural communities that see virtually no outsiders.  This is the real Africa you came to see.  Experience a welcoming of singing and dancing and hospitality that will change your life.

Day 10-12 African Safari 

Mole National Park - African Safari to see elephants, numerous primates, deer and birds
Larabanga - Visit a mud mosque the oldest building in Ghana

Day 13-15 African History

Cape Coast - Cape Coast Castle was the largest slave holding site during colonization
Elmina - Another exit point for the slave trade and an incredibly photogenic fishing village


What are the dates for the 2016 Ghana tour?
October 19th-November 2nd, 2016
What is the registration fee for the 2016 Ghana tour?
$3,450.  per person double occupancy
What does the fee include?
The registration fee includes all hotels, meals, private transport, and entrance fees.
 Water will be provided on the bus daily.

What is not included?
Airfare, Visa, Travel Insurance, Tips for guides, souvenirs, communications, laundry and alcohol.
How many people will be on the tour?
Our Maximum group size is 12 persons.  There will be three guides and one driver for a total of 16 persons.
How will we travel through the country of Ghana?
Domestic land travel is a private air conditioned bus.
What type of accommodation will be provided on the tour?
All hotels are Business class resorts.  Most meals are in hotel restaurants.
Do I need to purchase travel Insurance?
While it’s not required, we do recommend the purchase of travel insurance, especially for overseas trips. This insurance protects your overall investment in the event you are forced to cancel your registration, and protects you during the trip in many situations such as lost luggage or illness.
